The Professional Board for Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Biokineticists have recently reviewed the first-aid requirements for Biokineticists.
Going forward all Biokineticist must have a BLS level 1 certificate from a recognised institution.
Futhermore it must include training in Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and emergency airway management. Biokineticists must therefore be able to perform emergencies in choking and CPR for adults, children and infants as well as AED.
