CPD Compliance Deadline for DNB Practitioners

Practitioners are urged to check their CPD status, and in the event of non-compliance, take the required steps to avoid suspension.

In line with section 19A (1)(d) of the Health Professions Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974), please take note that the Dietetics and Nutrition Professions Board (DNB) resolved that the deadline for complying to the minimum requirements for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is 31 March 2025. All registered practitioners that are not CPD compliant will be suspended from the HPCSA register effective 1 April 2025. All registered practitioners are encouraged to utilise the period between now to 31 March 2025 to bring their CPDs compliance status up to date to avoid being suspended.

Consequences of Suspension

  1. Not allowed to practice your profession while suspended.
  2. Should you continue to practice while suspended, it will lead to more serious consequences and penalties, such as criminal conviction and/or removal from HPCSA register.

How to Avoid Suspension

  1. Check your status online to ensure CPD compliance. Use online portal to view the status: https://hpcsaonline.custhelp.com/app/dashboard/
  2. Ensure that evidence of CPD compliance is uploaded on the HPCSA platform or submitted by the relevant CPD provider.

For suspension to be revoked the suspended practitioner must comply with the requirements of continuing professional development.

Practitioners with specific questions regarding their CPD status can raise a service request on the HPCSA website.

This is a final notice from the board regarding possible intention to suspend practitioner due to CPD non-compliance.
