National Nutrition Week 2025

The National Department of Health (NDoH), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and other key partners, is proud to be part of National Nutrition Week 2025 (9-15 October), commemorated under the theme: “Food for Health, Health for All”.

South Africa continues to face the triple burden of malnutrition – undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and obesity. National Nutrition Week is a critical platform to raise awareness, strengthen food systems, and empower communities to make healthier choices. All the key role players are committed to advancing these objectives through active engagement and professional guidance.
