The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) is pleased to welcome the newly appointed Professional Board members for the 2025–2030 term of office. The 2020-2025 term of office for the previous Professional Boards ended in October 2025.
Following the successful induction session held on Thursday, 27 November 2025, Council is now proceeding with the formal inauguration of the new Professional Boards, taking place from 1–5 December 2025.
The aim of the induction process was to familiarise appointed Board members with the legislative framework, governance principles, operational structures, and strategic priorities of the HPCSA, ensuring that they are well-equipped to execute their mandate effectively.
The inauguration process is to formally establish the Professional Boards, confirm their Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons, and the Chairpersons of the respective committees in each Board.
To date the following Professional Boards have been Inaugurated:
