Become a Medical Internship Evaluator

Practitioners who wish to make a commitment to their profession by serving as medical internship evaluators can apply now.

Interested medical practitioners registered with the HPCSA are invited to submit applications to serve on the Internship Subcommittee (Medical) as “evaluators” for a period of three (3) years commencing on 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2018. Any medical practitioner wishing to become an evaluator for Internship Training should indicate commitment to serve as an evaluator, as well as to be involved in the business of the Subcommittee for Internship Training.

Applicants should submit a full curriculum vitae as well as proof of HPCSA registration and certified copies of qualifications. The subcommittee for Internship Training will consider applications received from registered medical practitioners who are suitably qualified, experienced with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a medical practitioner or specialist, registered in one of the domains required during medical internship training.

The domains are General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics and Anaesthesiology. The applicants should preferably be working with or have contact with medical interns.
