Practitioners can do their annual renewal and registration for the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) online. The portal allows users to check their HPCSA registration, make payments, download certificates and update CEU and CPD status. We also advise how to access the selfservice portal and where to get help for technical issues.
How to use the HPCSA portal
Go to the HPCSA website hpcsa.co.za or click on the link https://hpcsaonline.custhelp.com/
Click on Online services and use the Log in or Sign up option at the top of the screen.
Practitioners who are already registered on the HPCSA portal can use their username (ID number or passport) and password to access the portal.
Practitioners using the portal for the first time need to register by clicking on the Forgot username and password Please note: All registered practitioners has been assigned accounts please do not create a new account.
Complete the required fields and click Reset My Password
An email will be sent to the registered email address and an SMS will be sent to the registered cell number.
If you don’t receive any communication click on the Recover Account at the bottom of your screen.
You can reset your password using either an email or sms to verify your identity. Please choose a strong password with one special character, a capital letter ,number, and normal alphabets.
Check details are correct and click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
Click on the top right where your name will be displayed and click on the arrow and select Account Overview
If you already paid, click here skip to the card download option.
If you still have to pay, choose Account Statement.
Choose Pay Now at the bottom of the screen.
Choose Open invoices followed by the Pay option.
You will be directed to a secure payments portal (https://secure.paygate.co.za/payweb3/process.trans) to complete the payment transaction. Complete your payment details and click Next to finalize the payment.
Upon successful payment, choose My Registrations
If the transaction was successful its status will be displayed as ACTIVE – Click here to proceed to access your card.
Your registration details will appear onscreen. Click on the Card option at the bottom of the screen.
To download your HPCSA card click the Print Card and select save as PDF or just print the card for your records.

- Visit the HPCSA self-service portal and type in the nature of your enquiry.
