The HPCSA will host its annual Council Stakeholder Engagement at the Cape Town International Convention Centre at on Wednesday, 28 May 2025. The programme covers important HPCSA regulatory aspects to ensure ethical and professional standards. Attending practitioners will earn CEUs, and registration will take place at the venue.
This event provides a platform for open dialogue with Council leadership, updates on the HPCSA’s progress and strategy, and developments in the health sector, with dedicated sessions for direct interaction and feedback. It is also an opportunity for practitioners to share their insights, concerns, and perspectives, contributing to the health regulation and the health sector in general.
While Professional Boards hold their roadshows separately, this event unites the entire regulated healthcare community under one roof to deepen engagement, enhance transparency, and share Council’s strategic direction, including key updates on regulation and continuing professional development (CPD).
Key topics to be presented include the HPCSA’s achievements and milestones, an overview of Council’s governance and structures, the complaints management process, the management of unprofessional conduct, the role of artificial intelligence, updates on the registration process, as well as a segment showcasing technological enhancements aimed at improving service delivery.
