The HPCSA Acting Registrar/CEO, Dr Munyadziwa Kwinda will be one of the industry experts participating in the Council for Medical Schemes 2021 Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) webinar.
The theme for this year’s webinar is Fraud, Waste and Abuse and it aims at setting the scene for the establishment of Codes of Good Practice and Standards for the industry (schemes, administrators, health providers and members) to effectively deal with fraudulent activities. This includes fair sanctions for convicted fraudsters through the establishment of an FWA Tribunal.
The FWA webinar 2021 will consist of two three-hour online sessions:
- Session 1: 11 March 2021, 10:00 – 13:00
- Session 2: 18 March 2021, 10:00 – 13:00
The programme will feature representatives from the HPCSA and other industry stakeholders in accordance with the collaborative regulation in the health sector.

Practitioners attending the sessions will earn three (3) Continuing Educational Units (CEUs) for one day, and a total of six (6) CEUs for both days.
